Joint Mobilization

Joint mobilization is a form of stretching that is applied to stiff joints in an effort to optimize and restore a full range of motion, while ultimately relieving pain and muscle tension. When the joints of the spine are involved it is often referred to as 'spinal mobilization'.

These procedures are small passive movements applied as a series of gentle stretches performed in a smooth rhythmic fashion to an injured joint. The mobilization is administered in gradations or degrees of pressure depending upon the sensitivity and stiffness of the involved joint.

We utilize joint mobilization as necessary as a compliment to the chiropractic treatment.
